Hi, I’m LC and my dream is to attend law school and become an attorney.

I’m a mid-30s, married, mom of 6 living in the South, and I’ve been in a relationship with the LSAT since 2010. That was the year I discovered my passion for the law and changed my undergraduate major from English to Criminal Justice. I wanted to become a voice for the voiceless, and I truly felt becoming an attorney was the calling on my life.

So, I began studying in 2010 for the LSAT, but pressed pause on this goal in order to welcome my first child into the world in 2012. I gave birth again in 2013, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2021– if you think my family is crazy, you’d be halfway correct. We are a family of 8 and we adore being a large crew. However, having 6 kids ages 9 and under can be challenging, but I love being their mom. While holding off on law school, I earned my B.S. in 2012 and my M.A. in 2016, and just completed writing my historical fiction book this year.

It should be noted that after baby #2 was born, I took the LSAT and scored 10 points lower than I had scored in my practice tests. I was devastated. Completely. Freaking. Devastated. But I applied anyway to 9 schools and was accepted at 4, waitlisted at 3, and rejected at 2, but ultimately decided to wait to enroll. I know that I can do much better on the LSAT, which in turn changes the schools that will accept me, and the amount of scholarship money I will be offered.

My current goals are:

  1. Take the February 2022 LSAT
  2. Score at least a 160
  3. Apply to schools in March
  4. Get accepted with a full scholarship
  5. Begin law school in August 2022

My goals are big, but with gumption, grace, and God, I truly believe anything is possible. ❤
